A ‘One Tree Hill’ cast reunion is happening

Since “One Tree Hill” ended in 2012, fans of the popular coming-of-age drama have begged for a reunion. And this holiday season, their wish will finally be granted: Lifetime announced on Monday that “One Tree Hill” cast members will come together for a one-hour holiday special to premiere in November.

The special, titled “‘Tis the Season: A One Tree Hill Cast Reunion,” will air on Thursday, Nov. 22 directly after the Lifetime holiday movie, “The Christmas Contract,” which stars “One Tree Hill” alums Hilarie Burton, Robert Buckley, Danneel Ackles and Antwon Tanner. Tyler Hilton, another “OTH” veteran, will make a musical appearance in the original Lifetime Yuletide flick.

But the cast members of “The Christmas Contract” are not the only “One Tree Hill” alums to appear in the special. The reunion will also feature former “One Tree Hill” star Stephen Colletti, who played Chase Adams on the beloved teen series. (Colletti stars in another Lifetime holiday film, “Hometown Christmas,” airing Sunday, Dec. 16.)

The network said in its announcement that a “few surprise special guests” will appear in the reunion program, as well.

Of course, to say “One Tree Hill” fans are thrilled about the reunion is an understatement. One Twitter user, @valerie_kan, wrote in all caps to show just how excited she is for the event. In fact, she isn’t the only one who did.

Can’t get enough of the “One Tree Hill” cast? You’re in luck. Not only are Burton, Buckley, Ackles, Tanner and Colletti starring in Christmas movies this year, but so will Bethany Joy Lenz and Chad Michael Murray.

Lenz, who played Haley James Scott, will have a lead role in the Lifetime holiday movie, “Poinsettias for Christmas,” which will air Friday, Nov. 23. And over on the Hallmark Channel, Murray will star in the highly anticipated holiday movie “Road to Christmas,” (formerly titled “The Wise Men”) alongside “Veronica Mars” alum Jessy Schram. “Road to Christmas” is set to premiere Sunday, Nov. 4.
