The City of Branson says it expects little to no impact from a spillway release from Table Rock Dam beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday, June 25 as part of the ongoing effort to evacuate water captured during heavy spring rains.
As with any spillway release, the City of Branson has a team on standby monitoring the situation and is making preparations to move quickly if things change.
As with any spillway release, residents and businesses near the shore of Taneycomo should be water aware and keep an eye on the lake levels.
From US Army Corps of Engineers:
Five spillway gates will be opened 1 foot each beginning at 7 a.m. By 8 a.m. all 10 gates will have opened 1 foot releasing about 10,500 cubic feet per second combined with the 24-hour hydropower releases of about 9,500 c.f.s. The combined release will be about 20,000 c.f.s. One of the four hydropower turbines is currently off-line.
