The bronze statue of Ceres, the goddess of the harvest, that sat on top of the Missouri Capitol is set to return soon.
The statue was first put on the Capitol building in 1924 and has seen its fair share of lightning and weather. It was taken down last year.
It was set to return on the 6th, but Ash Grove State Representative Mike Moon asked the governor to keep the statue from returning, saying it was a “false god.”
The statue returns Tuesday.
