Ozark West Elementary School has a new face greeting students each day.
Dr. Gina McBain is the interim principal, taking over for Sharon Underwood, who was placed on paid leave last month, then resigned.
School leaders tell the Springfield News Leader it’s a “personnel issue.”
Underwood had been with the district since 2012.
