Springfield Police have introduced a LGBTQ+ liaison, assigned as the point of contact for the LGBTQ+ community and address safety concerns in that community as well.
20 year vet Lt. Jennifer Charleston will be the liaison, also serving as commander of special events, city center zone, and community services.
