The delta variant continues to take its toll on the Ozarks.
The Springfield-Greene County Health Department says there were 405 new COVID-19 cases reported Wednesday.

That’s the second highest number of cases since the start of the pandemic.
The record is 551 set last winter.

CoxHealth says it had 14 positive cases in mid-May.
Two months later, that number has soared to 139.

Health officials are urging people to get vaccinated.
