The Greene and Christian County Sheriff’s Offices will be holding an event thanking the Cook Family Foundation for a donation to both law enforcement agencies.

The donation includes 55 ballistic shields, 192 rifle plates, and 96 plate carriers.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office says one of the largest dangers authorities face is being outgunning and rifle fire, which the office says the donation will ensure more safety for deputies in critical incidents. 

The event is at the Greene County Sheriff’s Office on Boonville in Springfield at 1:30 on November 1.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office and the Christian County Sheriff’s Office are formally thanking The Cook Family Foundation for their generous donation on November 1st, 2021 at 1:30pm at the Greene County Sheriff’s Office at 1010 North Boonville Avenue Springfield, Missouri.

One of the largest dangers law enforcement faces is being outgunned and facing rifle fire. The Loren Cook Foundation has donated 55 ballistic shields, 192 rifle plates and 96 plate carriers to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.

The Cook Family Foundation has provided a rifle plated vest for every uniformed Deputy in the Patrol Division. The ballistic shields are portable in nature and are intended to be carried in patrol cars.

This generous donation will have an impact on each of the Deputy’s daily patrol duties and will ensure more safety for each deputy during potential critical incidents.

Sheriff Jim Arnott of the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff Brad Cole of the Christian County Sheriff’s Office would like to invite members of the media and community to join them on November 1st, as they thank The Cook Family Foundation for their continued support to local law enforcement agencies.
