(KTTS News) — The CDC’s COVID Data Tracker now puts Greene County at high risk for community transmission of the virus.
On Tuesday, there were 73 people with COVID in Greene County hospitals.
Ten people were in critical care.
Dade, Jasper, Polk, and Wright counties are also in the high risk category.
The CDC says people should wear a mask indoors in public and on public transportation.
It says you should also stay up to date on vaccines and get tested if you have symptoms.
The CDC has now identified Greene and surrounding counties as a Covid high impact, red area, due to increasing numbers of cases. At this level indoor masking is recommended, testing and current covid vaccinations. pic.twitter.com/eKwLD4TfCv
