Missouri First Lady Teresa Parson Tests Positive For COVID-19

KTTS News has learned Missouri’s First Lady, Teresa Parson, has tested positive for COVID-19.

Governor Parson’s chief of staff made the announcement Wednesday to a group of Missouri broadcasters who were scheduled to have lunch with the governor in Jefferson City.

Mrs. Parson had several days of allergy symptoms that kept lingering, so she decided to get tested.

The governor is in Jefferson City awaiting tests results on himself.

The governor’s communications director, Kelli Jones, issued a statement saying Mr. Parson is waiting on the results of a PCR test, which is the nasal swab test, to confirm the findings.

Jones says the First Lady is doing well and is quarantining at the Governor’s Mansion in Jefferson City.
