We now know the name of the motorcycle rider who died in a crash in Springfield last month.

39-year-old James Gailey from Marionville died when his bike hit the back of a pickup at Kansas and Catalpa.

It happened at 5 p.m. on November 19.

Springfield Police were finally able to release Gailey’s name after making contact with his family.

On Nov. 19 we responded to Kansas Exp. & Catalpa for a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle & a pickup truck.

The motorcyclist, James Gailey, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. After several attempts, next of kin was located & notified.
